Video: Zolani and Hanli are For Love of Water (from the archives)

Two Oceans Aquarium

Blast from the past! Check out South African freediver Hanli Prinsloo doing her thing in the I&J Predator Exhibit while Zolani Mahola of Freshlyground performs the beautiful song “Why don’t you” in front of Hanli’s performance.

Hanli’s voice can be heard as she talks about the art of freediving. “The memory of water is etched into you,” she says.

This video was recorded way back in 2010 during National Water Week. The team behind this stunningly shot and edited video are from Wildfire Creative: Igniting social change through film, design and new media. Read more about the event here.

"Every so often, if you’re lucky, you stumble across a night so unusual, so magical, so unique that it remains lodged in your memory forever". The launch of FLOW - For Love of Water was one of those nights. Over 200 people from musicians to scientists attended the event at Cape Town's Aquarium to celebrate their love of water and to highlight water related issues.
